As tackled in an earlier article, several states have removed the requirement of taking CGFNS qualifying exams (Certification Program) prior to being made eligible to sit for the NCLEX-RN® examination.

are you sure TEXAS and KANSAS are a nonCGFNS states? Because everyone says these states need CGFNS..Just wanted to clarify that info.

I have researched this case on behalf of my niece who wants to apply in the State of Texas and what I found out is that you don't need a qualifying exam from CGFNS. However, you need a Credentials Evaluation Service(CES): Full Education Course-by-Course Report from CGFNS which is $328. Once you get the approval of CES, this is the key to get your permission to sit for the NCLEX-PN or NCLEX-RN exams. The rest of the requirements are FBI FingerPrint cards, $139 payable to Texas Board of Examiners, Registration with NCS Pearson/VUE to take NCLEX with $200 fee, certification from your school that all courses were conducted in English to exempt the candidate to take the TOEFL test, and 2" X 2" passport photo.
hi.. do i still need to contact my college in the philippines for CES? or does CGFNS does all the work? i am here in New jersey and currently applying for licensure. thanks
